I had a talk with a buyer today who made an offer with THE LISTING AGENT. She said she was told you always want to work with the agent who has the home listed for sale? I said REALLY well who is the listing agent working for? THE SELLER. Now I will say there are agents who list and sell their own propeties. Most of the time other agents sell our listings. Just like a builder or site manager who are they working for THE BUILDER. HIRE YOUR OWN AGENT. THERE IS NO COST TO YOU as a buyer. The agent is paid by the seller. Interview agents, ask questions to see how well they know the area and the market. See if they are a Pensacola native (like me) someone who knows the area and has lived here. You want the best area for the best resale value. You want the best schools for your children. This is one of the most important decisions of a lifetime for some people.
